Cullen Bay Marina - It's around a 30 minute walk down a hill to the marina. So we suggets a cab if you aren't into walking. Whatever you do you must go there for a look or a meal. It is a beautiful marina. Starting from Mitchell Street the walk is about the same 45mins on a slow stroll.

After the hustle and bussle of the entertainment district in the CBD about 1klm on it broadens out to units and apratments on either side of the road as shown in the pictures on the left and right here.

At the end of Mitchell Street turn right and 300 meters into Lambell Terrace along you see the roundabout or if your coming from Smith Street it's on the same road.

Looking at the round about from Smith Street the Sky City Resort is directly down the hill 500 meters in front of you and next to that is Mindel Beach.

The signage at the roundabout is very good and hard to get lost. Veering left at 11o'clock on the dial is the road down to Cullen Bay Marina.

Cullen Bay Marina has around 100 craft, boats and yachts in it's berths at any one time.

These can be the large tourist ferries to fishing charter boats, to visiting yachties travelling the world to our own yachties.

Cullen Bay Marina - The road down to the Marina is called Marina Boularvard Cullen Bay.

A gradual incline walk from the Marina to the Smith Street Mall took us around 45 min at a slow stroll. To drive it took us 2 minutes to the top of the hill to the first roundabout pictured here on the left.

Cullen Bay Marina in Darwin - commercial strip resembles more of Nasau in the Bahamas.

Built actually around the time I first came to Darwin in 1988 it has the lifestyle any southerner would sell up for. Some of Darwin's most recognized and fequented cafes and restaurants are situated here such as Yots, The Boatshed and Buzz Cafe.

The road down is lined with Residental and Holiday apartments on the left and a rock bank about 10m high on the right.

There are tourist apartments on the way down to the Cullen Bay Marina such as Cullen Bay Serviced Apartments and Marina View Serviced Apartments.
